Basheera Khan

I'm Bash, a South African-born London-based senior design leader and innovation facilitator who's worked across startups, agencies, charities and established businesses. I’ve lead design for product, UX and design systems, navigated major digital transformation projects, and developed people and teams.

Before that, I worked as a journalist, reporting on the tech industry for market-leading outlets in London and Johannesburg. This combination of deep design expertise plus journalistic rigour shapes how I work now: I ask the hard questions, separate signal from noise, help teams see what they've been avoiding and develop strategies to tackle the challenges head-on.

The real insight came through my own (third!) career transition. After fifteen years optimising systems and products, I stepped back to ask what actually sustains people in high-stakes work. The answer isn't better processes or frameworks – though those do help. It is clarity, authenticity, and having the inner resources and external support to achieve your best and fullest potential.
